Carrot Box

The Easter Bunny will have fun delivering this carrot filled with Easter candy, and you will have fun making it.

To Make you'll need:

  • orange cardstock
  • green paper
  • glue

Optional but very helpful:

  • a scoring device such as scor-pal

To make:

  • Start at corner and fold paper in half, then fold that half in half again.
  • You will want to measure out 81/2 inches on each end and 8 6/16 inches on each of the three inside folds, that will be where your carrot sides meet the carrot top. You will need to add a tab on three sides for glue, and a longer triangle on one side to be the triangular top of the carrot.  See this demonstrated in drawing above.
  • To get the right shape for the triangular top, fold the carrot together and trace the triangular shape you will want to cut out, and cut it out.   Or you can measure up 3 inches from the center of the carrot side, mark a point.  From that point draw down to each end of that carrot side.

  • Glue sides of carrot together.
  • Add candy to inside, then glue top shut.

  • Use a small sheet of green paper roughly 3 x 4 inches.
  • Cut green paper in strips that reach about a half inch from end.
  • Curl ends with a pencil
  • Fold it in thirds and glue to carrot top.

You are finished.
