Card Gift Box

This is a cute box that you can fill with homemade cards and give as a gift.  my friend Michele Linford, a Stampin' Up consultant came up with this fun box.
Using a Scor-Pal to score fold lines will make this an easy task, however, you can use any scoring tool you choose for this project.
You will need an 81/2 x 11 piece of paper, the rest of the supplies are up to you, depending on how you want to decorate your box.  I added ribbons, punched out flowers attached with pop dots, and paper strips.
The following directions will make the most sense if you also look at the attached pictures.
Measure one inch inside each of the 11" sides of paper and score down length of the paper.
Then measure down 5" from top and score across page.  Flip paper and score down 5" from other side.  There should be one inch in between the two scores.  At the 5" marks on each side cut along score line for one inch.  See the pictures to better visualize this.  Pull sides up to form box and glue.
Use a circular punch to punch a half circle on each side of box top in center.  Use that same punch to punch out inside of circle handle and a bigger circle punch for handle.  Glue on the circles for handles.  (Another option is to add a strip of paper across top and have a smaller handle.)  Decorate with embellishments and finish off with a matching ribbon tied around handle.
