About Heather

 
 
 
Hello, I'm Heather Tesch, some of you may recognize my name or face from television.  I have worked at The Weather Channel as an on-air meteorologist for 11 years.  Right now, you can find me on TWC on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am - 2 pm ET, and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 11-2 ET. However, I occasionally will fill in on other shifts, so my schedule varies sometimes.
 

 
Carl Parker is my on-air partner on Day Planner and on Weekend Now.  Prior to working with Carl, I worked on Your Weather Today with Marshall Seese. We were together for ten years up until his retirement in 2009.
 
 
 
I have two degrees: a bachelor of arts in journalism (magna cum laude) from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor of science in meteorology, with a math minor (magna cum laude) from Plymouth State, in New Hampshire.
 
 
 
I grew up in Minnesota with my four sisters.  Now I live in Atlanta with my husband, our son, and daughter plus four cats and one dog.  My mother is an artist and I grew up loving arts and crafts.  In my free time I love to get creative.  Usually, I work with paper, but occasionally I work with beads, canvas, clay, and so forth.  I love making cards, and paper crafts, and I love incorporating photos and quotes in my crafts.  I am always looking for new ideas and I hope you will help me to discover some great ones, by posting your crafts.
